Currently, in the production of cleaning and disinfecting agents, we focus on using quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs) as their base. These substances have low toxicity for humans. Typically, when using chlorine-containing preparations, treated surfaces require abundant rinsing with clean water to prevent damage caused by chlorine and its derivatives, as well as due to the release of toxic compounds into the atmosphere. In contrast, QACs have no corrosive effect on any treated surfaces and exhibit minimal toxicity. The mechanism of action of these agents allows them to be used for disinfection of vehicles, rolling stock, household items, medical instruments, surfaces in public places, and medical and preventive institutions.
